The Penguins and Sabres came together to celebrate LGBTQ communities for their second annual joint pride game at PPG Paints Arena. The game got off to a quiet start as both teams failed to register a goal in the first period of play. Buffalo jumped out to a 2-0 lead through the first half of the 2nd with goals coming from Miller and Okposo. A Jake Guentzel power-play goal in the 3rd period brought the Penguins within one, but their comeback efforts would not be enough, resulting in a 2-1 loss.
