Video of patient walking after this type of surgery has been posted on To schedule a telemedicine appointment or an in-person visit, please call or text Dr. Kolodenker (949) 651-1203. A transmetatarsal amputation is a good salvage procedure. Once healed, the patient is able to walk and get back to full activities. There is no need for a brace or a prosthesis.
