As seen on SkyEye Britain - LAUNCHING IN EARLY 2013! - This is one of the great Norman revival mock castles of the early 19th century complete with a great keep. It is estimated that it may have cost around £150,000 to build, which in todayÌs money is close to 50 million pounds. It was built for the Pennant family, who had made a fortune from nearby Bethesda slate mining and Jamaican sugar.
