No much variation if we compare it with traditional ways most of furniture upholsterers accomplish it worldwide (my best recognition to all of them). As mentioned in the video I am using a semianiline 1.2 mm thick zebu bull leather hide, because I wanted to emulate old upholsterers who used to work with thick leathers. Of course in those days there were no current foams, dacrons, nor staples and leather diamond tufting was done by using tacks, burlap; horse hair, cotton and other paddings. Later on, first automobiles were also upholstered with 'leather diamond tufting designs'. To get easier and nicer outcomes I would like to recommend the use of pliable thin leathers.
