Happy Travellers ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Phillip Sear plays three pieces from a charming suite of 12 pieces from 1960-1 by the Azerbaijani composer Asya Sultanova (1923- ) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Asya Bakhish-kyzy Sultanova (Султанова,_Ася_Бахиш-кызы, 1923- ) was born in Baku and studied at the conservatory there, and later at the Moscow Conservatory under Vissarion Shebalin. Thereafter she has lived in Moscow. She is best known for her childrens’ songs, and also for her collaboration with the singer Muslim Magomayev.
