While his female is ovipositing, a male Tyriobapta torrida (Treehugger) guards off an unwelcome Orthetrum chrysis by rotating his hindwings to present the underside, the base of which has a broad metallic dark blue patch. If viewed at the correct angle, the patch becomes iridescent bright blue, which intimidates the intruder. The forewings of the male Tyriobapta torrida in the footage has been marked with white dots by the observer.
