Pino Forastiere at home in Tivoli, Italy

I am truly grateful when invited to dinner in a European family's home. Last Monday was extra special. Nancy and I were invited to dinner in the home (built in the 1600's) of Pino and Stefania Forastiere. Pino is one of Italy's premier musicians. After dinner, Pino treated us to some out-of-this- world sound from his newly developed “instrument.“ A truly wonderful, transcendent, once in a lifetime experience. We were joined at dinner by Stefano Barone and the lovely Martina. Stefano, a longtime friend and collaborator of Pino's earlier in the day shared with us his new music, equally astounding. He told us in advance that we would be “shocked“ by his new instrument, and we were, as he made Nancy and me, our bodies, into musical instruments. The future of music. Much more on that later.
