Tsuribashigo: Ninja Rope Ladder from the Bansenshukai

This ladder appears in the Bansenshukai, the 1676 ninja manual by Fijibayashi Yasutake. An english translation is available in “The Book of Ninja“ by Antony Cummins and Yoshie Minami. This ladder clearly comes from the Chinese military manual, Yuzi Shi San Zhong Mi Shu Bing Heng 喻子十三種秘書兵衡, along with a few other items found in the Bansenshukai.
