THE AIR GUN This Air gun is manufactured by F. W. Heym GmbH & Co. K.G. of Münnerstadt in Germany. Is a .177 caliber () pop out air pistol. There was only produced around 1500 of these in the time from 1949 to 1956, so it is quite rare to see one these days. The German company still exists as Heym AG and produce handcrafted, luxurious firearms. I got this beauty from my local antique dealer who had it for a long time in he's garage. THE RESTORATION PROCESS I disassembled the Air gun and cleaned the metal using aluminium-oxide as my sandblasting media. I also used vinegar, and the mini tumbler to all the small parts. I blackened all the small parts used heat and oil. I used black heat resistance spray paint on the gun. There was only half a handle on the gun when I got it, so I had to craft 2 new very simple handl
