A Kannada language folk song written by the 18th century saint poet, Saint Shishunala Sharief, who was a saint poet, philosopher and social reformer from the state of Karnataka in India. His compositions of tatvapada are in Kannada language. Sharifa is recognised as the first Muslim poet in Kannada literature. This song talks about how every so often, each of us is pushed into a corner where we think all hope is lost and in that adversity, we find a new side of ourselves rising up to the occasion, and drawing the strength to not just beat this adversity but also make us a stronger version of who we were.
