As the weather pummels the area, a street in Henderson, has been completely submerged by flooding. Residents have water up to their waist and needing to evacuate their homes which are damaged. Cars have also been filmed bobbing in floodwaters. The flooding also disrupted travel to and from Auckland Airport. Domestic and international flights have now been grounded until at least midday on Saturday. Many roads are closed in the region due to flooding and slips, making it extremely dangerous to be on the roads.
