This is a young male ( there is a brief description of the case at the begining of the video), with a severe case of GERD and a big hiatal hernia. We used a 3 mm extra incision to introduce a mini-Nathanson liver retractor. Patient did very well POP. Actually this was our first case performed by single-port technique for a Nissen. As you are having more surgeries of the “common case“ you feel confident to try more elaborated procedures. Then you find out that single-port surgery can be employed in almost every kind of abdominal, pelvic and even thoracic surgery that is done by multiport techionque with the advantage of offering the patient the same safety, efficacy and results but with less pain, faster recovery and a rapid return to work or study. Besides, the cosmetic result is excellent and superior to any other multiport technique, either with normal size trocars or minilaparoscopy.
