This video was taken at the Safe Haven Farm Annual Open House in Durham, ME on May 16th, 2015. It was Douwe’s birthday that day so I dedicated our routine to our partnership together. I consider him my “diamond in the rough“. Douwe is a 14 year old Friesian gelding that was imported from Holland as a driving horse, trained saddleseat and then sold as a trail horse to an island off the coast of Maine.
