Member of Right Sector organization banned in Russia detained in LPR!.

An investigator from the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Lugansk People’s Republic detained a fighter from the Right Sector battalion for participating in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The suspect, having joined the ranks of the Ukrainian organization “Right Sector“ (recognized as an extremist organization and banned in the Russian Federation), from October 2022 participated in military operations against the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic, and then on the territory of the Lugansk People’s Republic. The criminal activity of the defendant in the criminal case was revealed in cooperation with employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Central Military District. After being taken to the department’s unit, the man confessed. The investigation intends to petition the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention for him. The collection and recording of evidence of his criminal activity is currently ongoing.
