Making mirages with Liquid Nitrogen

In this video, I am using Liquid Nitrogen to show how cold dense air over a curved surface (like Earth) bends light around the curve thus making the object appear higher than its actual position. This happens to the sun at every sunrise and sunset. When the sun is actually below the horizon, it appears above the horizon as the atmosphere refracts the light. This is called atmospheric refraction.
