It’s often the little things in life that matter most, not the big things. A kind word, a smile, a dinner made by someone we love, a hug when we needed one, the time everyone laughed so hard. When we look back on things that stayed with us or things that made us happy, isn’t it so often the littlest things? I notice this in my garden on a daily basis- how much joy I feel from just stopping and watching for a moment - a new flower, bees working, a ripe lemon on the tree, a ladybug among the fennel flowers. They say that seeing a ladybug brings good luck and good fortune; that they are an omen of positive change. It makes my heart happy when I notice these small things. If you are ever feeling a bit discouraged or lost or overwhelmed, forget about the big picture for a moment and just look for the little things, a small beauty in your world that you may not have noticed on another day. This ladybug ceramic dish is made with a little herb garden featuring a bright red ladybug and a yellow fennel flower.
