Rooms fill with shadows, demons and terrors from the pictures hanging on its walls. The atmosphere is tense. Inspired by the famous Pinturas Negras of Spanish artist Francisco Goya (1746-1828), Patrick Bonté and Nicole Mossoux borrow from his alarming visions to create this powerful, award-winning, work for eleven dancers and their life-size puppet doubles. Ancient melodies and lost songs from Spain provide the haunting soundscape.
