The subject numbs his emotions through self-inflicted wounds which bring a sense of control and hope to him. His scars - while misunderstood by others - are a testament to his pain and resilience. Despite the desire to be free from this torment, he remains trapped in the cycle of self-harm. He challenges the shallow judgments of others and assert his identity beyond his scars.
