Newark School of Violin Making 2016 Lord Wilton Challenge

As part of the Yehudi Menuhin centenary celebrations a group of students from Newark School of Violin Making were challenged to produce a copy of Menuhin's fabled 'Lord Wilton' Guarneri violin. This video follows a team of students through an intense week of making finishing with a violin made to be sold to support the Trent Chamber Academy, an orchestra to which many of the students at Newark belong.
