Following the philosophy that it takes a village to raise a child, apostlebirds form a breeding unit of around twelve related birds (hence the name apostlebirds). The unit consists of one dominant male and several females plus immature birds (previous seasons’ young). All members of the group assist with feeding of nestlings and fledglings.
