She knew Mark to be protective, “paranoid“, and an art lover - before the world came to know him as John Lennon's killer. Natalie, 53, had an unusual childhood and, in 1980, was living in Hawaii with her younger sister Lana and their mum Donna-Gail - a newly converted Scientologist. Together, they often attended a building in Waikiki, O'ahu, where the Church of Scientology had a base. Sisters Natalie and Lana, then aged 10 and seven respectively, would virtually be free to roam the streets while their mum, then 27, became acquainted with the religion.
