This is the poetry of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikh tradition. These are the last two lines of the evening prayer called “Kirtan Sohila“ that can be chanted before sleep to bring peace and ease to your rest. It turns our minds towards the infinite before going unconscious for sleep, or for the final sleep of dying. Once our minds are set towards the one we can peacefully drift to a place of rest.
