Rosh Pina(Rosh Pinna), North of Israel. The House of Professor Gidon Mer, Moshavat HaRishonim was born in Russia in 1894. His medical education was not completed due to his departure to Israel (then Palestine). Taking part in draining swamps, he also made a great contribution to the study of malaria and developed a vaccine against it. He also tested the vaccine on himself and his family.
