๐ฃ๐ข๐๐๐ฆ๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐๐ง๐๐๐ ๐๐ก ๐๐ญ๐๐ฅ๐๐๐๐๐๐ก MUKHTAROV PALACE IN BAKU The building, currently called Palace of Happiness, was built 1911-1912 in the neo-Gothic style and was designed by the Polish architect Jรณzef Pลoszko. It was commissioned by the oil baron Murtuza Mukhtarov as a gift for his wife Liza, who was delighted with the neo-gothic building during a trip to France. Following this, Mukhtarov asked Ploszko to design a similar building in Baku. The construction of the Palace took 9 months. Upon its completion Mukhtarov surprised his wife by driving her there in a carriage and telling her that this was her new residence.
