The one lone album from a Fond du Lac, WI-based group called Billy Shears. Sometimes, they're referred to as The One and Only Billy Shears Band or simply The Billy Shears Band. Call them whatever you want. Obviously, they took their name from the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper title track. Speaking of Beatles, they show their love for the Fab Four even more by doing a heavier cover of “Eleanor Rigby.” This album of theirs had been on my wantlist for some time now, until recently when I went to a local record store and found it for a mere $8. This band is still active today, albeit without the original lead singer, Kenny Wells, whose body was mysteriously found in a river until it was discovered that he had been murdered. Wells was very active in the Wisconsin music scene, as he had contributed to the Gangbusters Band, whose song, “Heat of the Daytime“ (which he co-wrote) appears on here as one of the album's highlights. I know this album has been mostly posted in full on here, but a couple tracks were missing and I had the thing in my possession, so might as well. 0:00 1 Horse Town 3:56 Eleanor Rigby 10:51 Howlin' at the Moon 13:47 Feel My Heart 16:58 Dangling the Carrot (Funk Jam) 19:36 Heat of the Daytime 23:06 Shoot the Moon 27:35 Wonder Why 32:05 Town of Eola
