Located in the center of Kyoto city, the north, south, east and west are divided into Teramachi Dori, Karasuma Dori, Marutamachi Dori and Imadegawa Dori. The total area is 92 hectares in the range of about 700 meters east-west and 1300 meters north-south. Kyoto Gyoen, a national park managed by the Ministry of the Environment, covers 65 hectares. Kyoto Gyoen is a relaxing place for many people including Kyoto citizens. Ginkgo biloba is dyed in yellow before the maple, and it delights the eyes of visitors.
