At the Intercontinental Changsha on the very top floor there is the Sky27 bar that offers a really chill vibe. On Saturdays, there is a band that will perform and you will witness a high-society kind of patronage there. When I was there I was able to kick it with some Huawei people, a couple were top executives. They were celebrating a newly-formed partnership with people from another company. I connected with a few of them on WeChat. The duo that performed were form Cuba and like myself, they were in China on work visas. I was able to become acquainted with them in both Spanish and English. They reminded me of Miami and it was a bittersweet feeling. To add to it, they were performing a lot of songs that were popular during my time living, working and going to school in Miami. I was also able to meet the Hotel manager from Switzerland and briefly spoke to him about what I do and he gave me his card, as I gave him one of my stickers. I'm going to follow up with him and see about hosting my first “China Social Travel Network“ event there next month as a holiday-themed meet-and-greet. I'll provide more details about this later on. I enjoyed some great drinks and some pretty good spicy Changsha food while I was there. One of my favorite aspects of my Saturday evening at Sky27 was the deck overlooking the colorful, illuminated Changsha skyline and the Xiang River. #ChinaRelived
