Abstract: Radiofrequency ablation (RFA) has become the first choice for treatment of dysplastic Barrett's. RFA is indicated for flat high-grade dysplasia and for eradication of residual Barrett's after endoscopic resection of any visible lesion containing high-grade dysplasia or an early mucosal cancer. RFA has a high success rate for eradication of dysplasia in 95% of patients. Eradication of intestinal metaplasia can be obtained in approximately 80% of patients.
