The great David Munrow and the Early Music Consort of London recreate the music of medieval Florence. I had the pleasure of visiting Florence a few years ago. It was September, the weather was warm and humid, and the city was arresting in its magnificence. If you have an appreciation of the art and culture of the Renaissance it is a city that will thrill you, and it's so interesting to see present-day life busying itself around you as though to be surrounded by so much beauty and history is an unremarkable thing.
