River Otters' main habitat is river, however, when winter comes and a lake or river freezes, they need to hunt outside of the water. Their eyes suitable for underwater life are short-sighted on the land and it is difficult to catch enemies such as coyotes. However, three coyotes follow after the mother otter and babies.
