This video is not a full tutorial, but rather a short time-lapse giving a small sample of how I created the engraving-style Meadowlark Main Street Pharmacy cards. I would love to have a more in-depth video showing beginning to end, but maybe when I have more time! PROJECT BACKGROUND Graphic Design / Illustration In 2020 I was asked to create a deck of cards in an “engraved“ style. I had never done anything quite like this, and it was important to me these didn't feel “vector“ or overly perfect. I wanted these to have a touch of hand-made feel, so I chose to do most of the detailing by hand. For the sake of speed, I created the basic shells of each card as a vector. Then, in Photoshop — using a Wacom Cintiq tablet — I hand-drew in all of the contour lines (2nd image below).
