Robert started a war to win her back. They killed Rhaegar. But she died anyway. I started this well over a year ago, promised that it would be done 9 months ago, and now here we are. I'm sorry to everyone that I made wait for this. I hope this pays off. I'm in the midst of reading ASOIAF and I'm so in love with this backstory (not Rhaegar and Lyanna necessarily, but also Elia, her story is so intriguing), so I finally felt the inspiration to finish this. I always loved reading the speculation that Lyanna Stark was the Knight of the Laughing Tree, that's where 0:57 - 1:00 comes in. I don't see it as Lyanna's fault that Rhaegar fell in love with her, or that he left Elia for her. But I do think that Lyanna went along with it. I'm also not romanticizing this relationship, which a lot of people seem to think. I'm just exploring this side of the story because the show never did until this seventh season.
