A clip from the Japanese “mondo“ film, “Sex Document: World of Perversion“ which explores the various sexual subcultures of late 60s Japan (swingers, transsexuals’, BDSM, homosexuality). The video features ex-wrestler Ryoko Todoroki who later became an exotic dancer. She would perform in what we would now call blackface to portray an African woman struggling with huge pythons (she owned three large retics). The dark skin look would later become a controversial, extreme fashion trend in Japan called, Ganguro (“burn-black look“, “dark tanning“ ).
