Performing a surgery is NEVER a one-man’s job. Each team member would have specific responsibilities to fulfill for the implementation of surgical asepsis, for the efficiency of the surgery conduct and for the welfare and safety of the animal. In this lecture, we discuss the principles of surgical asepsis, the methods of sterilization and disinfection and the roles of the members of a surgical team.
