February 29, 1976: Ambassador College, Pasadena, California (Live) Although not considered as a reference recording, it is a very colorful recording with a sophisticated sense of mystery, which is Horowitz's amazing harmony with Scriabin. The 1:30 bit, for example, nobody can even imitate that faint tone. The problem is that there were serious problems with the release of the recording of this piece. On RCA's 1989 〈Horowitz plays Scriabin〉(GD86215) album, it had serious sonic problems and, above all, was not properly edited at all. It has not been reviewed as elaborately as other Horowitz-approved recordings and sometimes uses the wrong take. The remastered version of the album(Sory Classical 88875038372), re-released in 2015, was a total mess for the entire album, and it was the same with this piece. They irresponsibly took the live recording from February 29, 1976, instead of the audio used for the original release. Presumably they couldn't fix the sonic issues of
