“Just a pair of hands - and a whole lot of clever imagination.“ M/S of pair of hands and arms silhouetted against a black background. A candle and a matchbox are held up to the camera. Various strange movements are performed by the ghostly hands - making different shapes. M/S of hands making large shadows on a white background, hands are seen in the foreground. A bird shape is made - the wings are flapped. A very good bunny rabbit silhouette is next! Dogs are demonstrated. The silhouette expert then produces a hat and makes the silhouette of a snail. The hands are used to make a silhouette of a man wearing a hat. The performer moves his hands slowly so that the audience can see how the shape is formed. The next effort is pretty impressive - Charlie Chaplin twirling his cane. Next up are two boxers - a shadow puppet style show ensues with the two boxers having a fight. Pretty clever stuff. Was an item in Eve’s Film Review issue number 624. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLOR
