Tiger Rag was recorded and copyrighted by the Original Dixieland Jazz Band in 1917. It was one of the bands greatest hits. The band itself consists of 5 members who are drummer Tony Sbarbaro (aka Tony Spargo), trombonist Edwin “Daddy“ Edwards, cornetist Dominick James “Nick“ LaRocca, clarinetist Larry Shields, and pianist Henry Ragas.
