During the Second World War was in Army , The Air Force School graduate. in 1956 graduated from the State Academy of Fine Arts. Tbilisi 1960-1974 professor of the State Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi. Drawing. 1957 First Laureate of Georgia;s Youths Festival. 1965 Honored Artist of Georgia 1985 Professor of the State Academy of Fine Arts in Tbilisi, Painting. 1985 Peoples Artist of Georgia. 1990 - Present Head of the Studio of “Synthesizing of theoretical and practical studies of Fine Arts“ at the Georgian Art Gallery, for Years read series of lecture on “development of Fine arts. especially of Painting“. 1991 Minister of Culture of Georgia 1997 Grand prix of the international Art Festival in Tbilisi 1997 Laureate of Rustaveli Premium Rustaveli Prize.
