DEEDAR 51-M RAFI-naseeb dar pe tere Dilip kumar played the blind singer lover in quest for his true love- a childhood sweetheart -alas when he finds her she is oblivious of him and in happy matrimony with an affluent doctor -somehow dilip was able to show that ultimate loss as he perceived by his body language and his facial perception but most of all by the hauntingly honorific vocals of muhammad rafi who raises this dilemma of a disabled lover and his blind quest into a huge disability itself for the society at large, virtually gouging the communal conscience on the behalf of the disabled group-disability will never be viewed in the same perspective once you see the satirical semantics as in this simple masterly movie gem which examines disability from inside the head of a blind man and decides he is much content being who he is rather than a so called normal human specimen -a triumph for humanity itself as it recognises its lamentable flaw at least
