This quick tip covers a simple setup for Reflector style car headlights, which are the style found on older cars. There's a certain way I like to have the geometry setup for the light housing & glass. Also covered is the setup for the Area Light, including what kind of textures can look good in this situation. And lastly, the setup for the bump map to get that classic look for the glass. These tips can be replicated for the tail lights and turn indicators too which I demonstrate at the very end. This information should apply to Redshift in other DCCs fairly straightforward. 00:00 Introduction 00:21 Reflector Style Headlight Explanation 01:09 Geometry Walkthrough 01:56 Area Light Settings & Texture 02:42 Volumetric Lighting 03:04 Glass Material & Bump Mapping 04:09 Adjustments For Fog Lights, Turn Indicators & Taillights 04:50 Conclusion __________________________ Subscribe: @gernge My Website: Twitter: Instagram:
