Discovering Ardi: Panel Discussion Highlights

Owen Lovejoy and three other local researchers (all Kent State alumni), who contributed to the project that was named the 2009 Science “Breakthrough of the Year,“ discuss the implications of the discovery of Ardipithecus ramidus, or Ardi, who at 4.4 million years is the oldest know fossilized hominid skeleton.
