From the presidential election on down, equal opportunities for and equal respect toward women and girls may be the most hotly debated social issue in America today. That is no less true in the sports world, where despite significant progress during the Title IX era, gender equity in sports remains a contentious topic. In TOMBOY, CSN explores the issues around female participation in organized sports, from the obstacles faced by young girls at the recreational level to elite professional athletes seeking full recognition and compensation for their talents.
