Don’t look down! A Chinese slacklining athlete (a kind of balancing act) walked over a rainforest and a river. Sometimes, he lays down to rest. The man did all of this on a narrow nylon tightrope. Slacklines use ropes that are not more than 2.5 cm thick. In the Tsovkra village in Dagestan, Russia, the tight ropers’ rope is even thinner: only 8 mm. Many locals know how to walk above the ground. Why was this previously taught to boys only? And why do they teach girls the art now? The answer is in the film ‘Balance of life’ (2012). The link is in the first comment!
