In this video, we are going to make a complete geometry nodes setup to make fully modeled and detailed hems along the edge of your meshes in one click from just a vertex group selection. We will also create some custom shader attributes to shade this really nicely with seam puckering effects, without needing a too high poly version. Erratum: at 11:26 you should plug the output of the “Capture Attribute“ node in the “Reverse Curve“ node. This is not a beginner friendly tutorial, it is more a very in depth view on a complicated subject. Project files: The only prerequisites are that your object needs to have a properly setup UV Map and uniform scale. This is the second tool in a bigger toolbox to assist with cloth animations, including one click procedural hems, all kind of stitches, embroidery details and more, all being entirely stable whithin any animation pipeline, from shapekeys, modifiers and simulations to alembic caches. Thanks to for the help with this.
