I picked up this 1930’s Wyandotte lighted dump truck from a local antique shop. It was in pretty rough shape. Missing two wheels, the head lights were broken, the battery contact bar was missing for the headlights. The battery retainer spring was missing as well as the front bumper. The entire truck was rusted and needed help. I started by grinding off the peened side of the axles to allow removal. Once the axles and wheels were removed, I continued by removing the dump bed and cab. Disassembled the cab and proceeded to the sandblaster. The paint and rust came off very quickly and showed that the overall condition of the metal itself was in great shape. Off camera I straightened a few parts including the dump bed tail gate, the front fenders, the mounting tabs for the cab and box. I then worked with the switch which was completely frozen.
