The final instalment for this week is of course one of Shay Healy’s biggest successes, “What’s Another Year?”. “Johnny Logan sang this ballad to win the 1980 Eurovision Song Contest. It’s a song about losing someone you love, out in space. In my case, I felt my father’s sorrow after my mother passed away.” Healy goes into more detail on the backstory of the song and some of the happy memories he associates with it on the CD/DVD. Shay Healy, a singer-songwriter, broadcaster, journalist, and writer (to name a few) from Sandymount, Dublin. Healy has been in the entertainment industry, in some form or another, since the age of 15 when he read out a self-penned article on National Radio.
