Comedy team Collinson and Dean do a routine as two sailors on board deck. The one on the right is feeling a bit worse for wear after his night ashore; he ended up sleeping on a tombstone. They go through a lot of moaning talk about life on board and travels to foreign lands. The one on the left says he is a widower - “a twicer“ - but he is courting another girl called Alice. He says he can't marry her until he gets something off his chest, and lifts up his shirt to show a tattoo reading 'I luv Mary' - the other one gives him a smack round the head. They then hear that the cook has fallen overboard and say it's the first bit of luck the ship's had for years. They join hands and sing 'Auld Lang Syne' with the words “Our cook has fallen overboard and he's forty knots behind'. FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ. EXPLORE OUR ONLINE CHANNE
