Julia Hartley-Brewer has slammed the BBC after the organisation revealed plans to increase their license fee payment by 9%. The fee is currently £159 per year, and has been frozen for the last two years, but is due to increase by £15 to £ in April. Rishi Sunak's government is set to block to the increase after Culture Secretary Lucy Frazer said she was concerned a “significant rise“ in the fee would add to cost of living pressures.
