Hello, my name is Anastasia Rodina, I create dolls and shoot animation with them, and in this video I will show the process of creating another portrait character - Cathy, for the film “Ricardo and Friendz“, which we are preparing together with the label Forbidden Place Records. After analyzing photographs of the subject, I draw up anatomical patterns, cut them out on white cotton fabric and sew the body parts. I make the frame from steel wire, wrap it with padding polyester and put turned fabric parts on it. Having made and wrapped the thread around the fingers, I tint the doll’s body with watercolors. Additionally, I sew on the chest. For clothes I make black long sleeves and beige denim overalls with metal plaques. I make shoes from leather and cardboard, and paint the leather with a snake print.
