Proto-Nostratic is a hypothetical Proto-World language, theorized to have been spoken from 14,000 to 17,000 years ago. Keep in mind that there is no such thing as a perfect reconstruction, and even less so for such an ancient language. Additionally, it is argued that the language is reconstructed from false cognates and words with no actual relation, as well as cross-borrowings.
